Theo finally finds a way to escape her family’s shadow, but it means running away from everything she’s built. Meanwhile, Mark helps show Anna Ashwood how to do the hard work of acting like a real human being. At least for now, the real world seems to have more pressing needs than the world beyond.

The elemental fiends continue their assault, and the team continues their investigation into what’s really going on with the many covert groups looking into them.

At the end of the day, Casey, Kira, Mark and Theo haven’t been friends all that long. So what happens when old friends from the past show up? And what happens when some of those old friends have monsters chasing them?
